By the Water Shellfish Inc. was established in 2003 by a group of individuals with experience and expertise in the fishing industry dating back four generations. We have a combination of former and current fishermen, procurement, managerial and marketing professionals ready to serve our customers. It's this diverse combination of experience that makes our company unique and well rounded. We take pride in our experience on both sides of the industry and know what it takes to get a good product from the water to you. Our holding facility, located in Borden P.E.I., consists of six holding tanks which are supplied by three nutrient-rich sea water wells. The sea water is always fresh, never recirculated and pumps over 1000 gallons per minute. This environment duplicates the lobster's natural environment which allows us to maintain their healthy weight and texture. Our facility has 6 refrigerated holding tanks and can hold up to 400,000 lbs ensuring that supplying Atlantic Canadian Lobster year round is never a problem.
